guys and gals... is it true trumpeter going to release the sa-6 (NATO codename Gainful) tracked missile vehicle...? wow.... if it''s anything like their Emil or KV series.. it's going to be AWESOME!!

anyway, here are some pics of the actual thing:









and perhaps they will release a radar vehicle too!



...... oooo! i'm already drooling on this one!

Not only will it be out in October but Panzer shop has the Radar Vehicle, the Longtrack, up for release in spring of 2006.

as far as the Panzershop kit is concerned, I would rather say save your bucks !

However, it's a good news for all of us modern Russian armor fans. I'm still waiting for the Tunguska. Don't want to pay 110$ to get the resin kit by 5stars models even if the quality of their kits is pretty high.

You guys think the five star verison in resin will have better detail even though it is more expensive?

have a look at 5 stars SA6 homepage

this will you a good view of this kit. I did myself, got some little fitting trouble and wrong sized PE parts. But it builds into a fairly good model.
Some parts need a thorough sanding as the cast seam is "heavy" especially the missiles.

Cromwell models used to do a conversion for the Dragon/Italeri ZSU-23-4 to the SA-6. I built it a couple of years ago, not bad but a bit tricky in places.
