Right i have ditched the idea of producing a white washed wespe :-)
i have stripped the paint off and am back to its primer stage.
i now want to paint the dam thing two tone, darkyellow and green.
as i wanted to do a winter dio with some german figures i have waring winter uniforms.so is it posseble there were wespe in darkyellow base coat on the eastern front or even the bulge.
I have searched all over the web for pic but have had no luck what so ever, its doing my head in trying to find some info.
if anyone has pictures or anything please pass them on
i would be so grateful.
many thanks.

I'd say it was fine to paint a Wespe dark yellow for the Bulge, especially as it wasn't snowing when the Offensive began. Once it started I'm sure there were other priorities than repainting vehicles...

After 43? most german armor was a base of yellow, in the field such as The Buldge the crews would have white washed them in a lime and water paste applied by whatever means handy IE Mopp or Broom.
Hope this helps
