Just finished the dragon Hetzer - nice little kit even if it´s not one of the newer ones, it even comes with individual tracklinks and a small fret of photoetch (actually it came with two frets - so if anyone is missing one, i´v got an extra)

It builds up without any troubles - I replaced the jackblock since the kit one looked wrong with a homemade of balsa and alustrips. Handles were replaced with wire, the rest is just out of the box.

I thought about doing a ambush paintscheme on it, but was afraid that all the fine little details would be drowned in the rather complex paintscheme-so it ended up being dunkelgelb. Wash and dusting with oils and pigments.

The crew is still to be done.

Wow! Excellent Hetzer. How did you do the rusted exhaust and stains under the rivets?

Jan:

Nice Hetzer. The paint job looks great, especially the rust under the rivets.

Sweet looking Jpzr 38! I love the texture on the muffler. You've also done a great job adding some variation to the dunkelgelb finish with the staining. I also like how you have avoided over-doing the staining of the muzzle. Nice piece.
Only minor suggestion would be to paint the convoy light a mid-to-light blue.

Edited to add: Great photos, too!

Thx mates!

@Dave - rust is done with groundup pastels mixed with paint - I can see that I havent been carefull enough to give the end and buttom enough...

@Steve - you are right about the light, wasn´t sure what colour to paint it...
