Really nice built OOB and great paint work but I think you should add some steel drybrushing on tracks to show your tank was used. what do you think about that

Looking good, Dan. I have been working on the same kit for months and it is still nowhere near to completion.

The weld seams on the turrent are very impressive. I have messed up the welded-on pieces at the front left and right bottom of the turrent, they just don't look right. You did a much better job there. I am also struggling with the tiny Aber PE set. I bet you put the decal on before the hand rails.

You may now further improve the T34/85 by dressing it up the with soviet infantry from either Tamiya and Dragon. Happy Modelling.

Thanks Donald,

I have problems with that too in the beginning, and went back to reference materials. I found an article on basic modelling techniques suggesting to use a pen knife and scrap the poor fit lightly (the plastic will come off like shavings).

I dare not touch any PE sets till I have more confidence, as this is only my second work. Guess more practice is needed b4 that will comes.

Cheers!

Donald,

and by the way, I fix the hand rails then apply the decals. What I did was to cut the decal into individual characters and then apply them seperately.

But what you suggested could be the better approach. This is because, DML gave 4 sets of decal to choose from for this kit and I could only find this particular decal that would it nicely by my approach.

Will try the other method on some spare parts and see if the cement will destroy the decal or not.

Cheers!
