Thx Jim. This surely clears the things out

I already got 2 DML Initial Tiger I but sPzAbt 501 in DAK is really one of my favourite topics ... just a little disappointment why it cannot be a full kit

Here you can see some built-up pictures : http://www.network54.com/Forum/thread?forumid=47207&messageid=1126203750.

From the pictures it looks like the major characteristics for this Tunisia Tiger are there including the air fiiter system and the corresponding armor and the tool box on the rear plate, and they said there will be an addition of over 20 new features depicting this Tiger.

Oh dear - DML going into AM. The doomsayers are gonna have fun with this one! :-)

Seriously though, for those of us who returned to the fold of German Armor building, this is an absolute godsend. If like me you don't have a large spares box, and really want a good, easy option for the DAK Tiger - then this is going to sell and sell and sell...Jim

Aaaaaaaarrrrrgghhh!

Typical, having spent oodles of dosh on A/M parts to make this version from their Initial version kit, they go and do it all themselves.

BTW this is an addition to the Initial Tiger kit, so you'll need that kit too. Plus I have heard it is only available from Dragon's Cyber shop. I'm not sure how easy to get in the UK and other countries it will be.

Well, it isn't a conversion set, so logically it is a complete kit....Jim

Ah, sorry if I sounded impolite, but as everything else I've seen today, such as Tom Cockle on Somethingorother Links says it isn't a complete kit, I was wondering if it was a third type of thing wot I had yet to consider. Maybe a block of styrene and a sharp knife and some plans.

One of the best laughs I have had all day.
(Sounds like a kit from BlueTank I tried to build once)
Thanks,

Well, regardless if its a full kit, or just a conversion, its gonna be good. I do agree, if Dragon go into AM conversions for their already existing kits, that would open up a whole new relm of endless possibilities.

Life in the 1/35th armor world just keeps getting better

Just in case you have not seen the post on Track Link, here it is:
http://www.cyber-hobby.com/html/6286.htm

Now that leaves alot for the imagination :-)

Cheers !!

No problem Jim!! I'm curious as to what the three options of the kit will be?

While interested in the DAK version, I'd also like to do an early version of this vehicle.

Does it means they are going to allow pre-order of this kit on Cyber-Hobby before it arrives at LHS?

It appears, from Tom Cockle's comment, that Dml's new DAK Tiger 1 will only be available thru DML's CyberHobby store. If so, we will probably be paying full MSRP. No discount . Up to this point I have never paid full MSRP on a DML kit. My LHS normally gives me up to a 25% discount on all kits.

Not only full MSRP, but also shipping!

I hope this isn't true, but if it is, I've still got a Tamiya Initial Tiger 1 in the stash!

The full, updated story can be seen: HERE!!! .

Regarding the report that it will only be available through Cyber-Hobby, i'll be checking with my contacts at DML to confirm (or refute) the story. Personally, I have the gravest doubts that this is the case....Jim

Sorry, I just can't complain about having to pay 40 bucks for a kit with the bazillion extras that DML gives us. I felt like I was stealing when I picked up their initial and late tigers for less then thirty bucks each.
