In this months (Oct) Military In Scale John Murphy has a great feature on the Dragon M1 Panther. He mentions that there are only 4 of these vehicles in use with US forces today. I would like to build one of these for a Diorama.
To provide me with some ideas i would like to understand how they are managed in the battle field. John mentions that it is possible to operated them by remote control. This can be done from an M113 ( Theres one idea)
I presume that a unit of engineers would have these vehicles
So can anyone tell me
1) Which unit would use them
2) How are they call up or moved to areas they are needed.
3) Any pictures of them in action.

You should find useful informations, and pics as well, in Concord's " Assault : Journal of Armored and Heliborne Warfare" vol.8. It includes one well illustrated article about the 54th Engineer Battallion which has received the first two Panther 2 in June 2002 and another about the Panther 2 itself. Both articles are written by Ralph Zwilling.
