Hi Roger,
I have not started on anything yet either. My big effort since Air over the Sea ended has been constructing a model spray booth. I'm almost finished and only spent $90.00 :-)
Sincerely,
Brian

I got my Idea from the Jerusalem Post while I did a search for Marines. I read an article about US Marines renting mules in afghanistan for transportation in difficult terraine. So my entry will be a Vietnam/Afghanistan vignet, with a mechanical mule in Vietnam, and a real mule rented by US Marines in Afghanistan.

Hello Erik,
Just to let you know the Marine Corps still runs a school teaching Marines on how to run mule trains. This school is located in Bridgeport California and has been since the Korean War. We've realized that in some cases the best way to get around in the mountains is the old fashioned way.

I'm building academy's M3 Stuart. I also got a tanker figure by warriors that would make a little diorama with the tank. (I replaced the warped resin smg with a plastic one from dragon)
The idea I have is a small base with maybe a tree (or more likely a palm, it's pacific anyway) or two, and the figure beside or on top of the tank.
I've heard that the M3 kit has some errors, but I'm building it pretty much straight from the box, with hatches opened to show the interior. The only modification needed seems to be the addtion of the sponson machine guns and the rods that keep the front hatches open. The kit didn't come with USMC markings, I guess I'll have to go shopping. Just in case, is it a big blasphemy to do a vehicle with generic markings, the usual white stars and serials?
