Hey everyone, I'm new here and I've been checking around a little bit and noticed that most of you stay in a WWII theme for your dioramas. I started working on a huge 1/72 scale Omaha Beach one about 2 years ago and stopped about 10% of the way through (ran out of spare time I guess lol).
Anyway, after searching around a bit I haven't been able to find any Ancient themed dios, Roman to be exact. Anyone have any pics of an Ancient Rome-themed diorama? Thanks a lot.

Most of the dios here would most likely be from WW1 onwards. Anything apart from that would be a rare treat.

Wow, those are some of the most amazing dioramas I've ever seen. But because of the larger scale of the figures, the dioramas themselves cover a smaller "area". What I'm working on is an entire Roman city in Gaul, in 1/72 scale. Aqueducts, a resevoir, villas and domuses (houses), temple, civic building, amphitheatre and gladiator quarters, a fort w/ barracks, docks, a trireme, etc lol. So even though it is 1/72, it'll still be a huge diorama. I even want to have some road-building, and a quarry. This should be fun.
Oh yeah, thanks to those who replied. Since this is mostly a 20th century and higher forum, does anyone know of one that would be able to help me a bit more? I still love these, I've learned a lot about the terrain building (water, trees, etc) from searching around these boards.

It's still in the beginning construction phase. I have a design all mapped out, and some buildings in the process of being made. I haven't put anything down permanently yet, but I'll get some pictures of what I've got completed so far when I get a chance.
(I'm waiting on a compant called Nikolai to start selling a bunch of roman civilians and accessories in 1/72 scale that they are currently working on.)
