I have a friend trying to finish the new Trumpeter KV-II kit for AMPS East this weekend. He is having a problem with the suspension. I was hoping for some good sites or pics on the suspension to help him with his issues. Or if someone has built this and knows what problems he may be having. I don't know the specifics, but we are going to try to work on it tonight. Any help would be a blessing. Thanks JDM

I'm pretty much done with the kit and did not have any problems with the suspension.

A little more detail about the specific problem would probably get you more answers.

I have just finishing KV-1. The suspension for 1 and 2 is similar if not identical. Have few ref. pics for KV-2 at tanxheaven. But for KV-1 there are lots.

As Stuke Sowle mentioned, If you could be more specific then you may get better answers.

Have a Great day

Somehow you must be specific with the suspension problem. I finished my KV-1 without any problems with it. My KV-2 is also in progress and nothing was wrong.

The suspension should go on simply and securely by inserting the male hex part of the suspension arm into the hex holes in the hull. There could be an allignment problem if the hull side has not matched well to the hull tub. Mine was fine. This gives a "flat" suspension. The arms should "trail" and hang down at an angle of 20-30 ish degrees. If you wish to have the suspension as if "working" You may need to use a lot of liquid cement and some force to make the suspension arm rotate in the hull.

As others have said I had no problemos.

hope these help.
I finished mine in a week.I shortened the posts on the rear sprockets,so I could ease the sprockets into location while having the mud scrapers in place.
