My comments are.... nice and dirty.. just what I like :-)
Looks very good! I like the dust everywhere.
How did you make the ruins?

Hello Hilbert
Thanks for the better link, i am not so great with computers!!!!
I went for a dusty look because it would be more realistic, rather than pretty.
The building is a kit from Great North Roads in the UK., it is called the Factory Ruin. As you can see a large afv fits nicely inside!
Cheers

Hi Dus!
It looks very good - Ruins and the weathering on the KV2 is very convincing!
The two Germans, although few, tell a story there
With all due respect, the only thing that I think it could be improved is:
the track where the KV2 passed. A heavy tank like the KV2 would leave some marks on the ground, specially if the rubble isn't compacted yet
Can you still make some marks? I think it would make a difference...
Just my opinion - it is worth what is worth - coming from a salty dog
Congratulations
Skipper

Hi skip
Yes you are quite right I have overlooked the tracks behind. I did have some initially but wasn't happy with the way the rubble looked and after i had finished I had covered it all up.
I can't change it now as firstly the groundwork is set with glue and is solid and secondly i no longer have the diorama! I have given it to a friend, Simon, to put on his trade stand at Euro Militaire this weekend.
Thanks for your opinion mate.
Best Regards
Dus

Very nice looking Dio there Dus.
You planning on adding some notes on how you did this awesome piece of work?

Very good, the rubble is very convincing along with the dust on the tank.

Impressive ruins. Definitely a lot of thought and work has gone into it. Nicely composed too.

Thanks for the Kind words Gents.
Jeremy,
The KV 2 is the new Trumpeter kit, straight out of the box, all I added was a little texture to the turret, also the car primer was sprayed from about 18 inches away so that it left a rough finish on the upper surfaces to 'catch' the dust and debris that would come later (would be a useful technique for applying non slip texture to modern AFv's).
The base was MDF, The ruin a kit from Great North Roads (An excellent range, though I must state that I have mastered some dio bases for him, so you may wish to take that into account!).
I used loads of Bricks from his range with plaststruct 'I' beams and various accessories. The rubble dust is 'Light Earth' from the Mr. Sticky Range.
The figures are stock, from the Dragon 'Cross of Iron' set, the decals are Verlinden.
If you need any more info drop me a line.
Cheers

Cheers for that Dus. Will be taking note of that.
Ive been toying with the idea of constructing a Dio for my modern armor for months but just never got round to it.
Will let you know if i run into any brick walls.
