ive been on abrams for a little over 3 years and never seen that on a drivers hatch, is that a marines thing with the m1a1 hc?
it is fun to pop the ol hatch with someone on it though......
you could also ask if anyoone built the tamiya oif 2 mi1a2 as the m1a1 then theyd have the leftover decal for the citv in the army 1 inch letters that says no step

They are on factory painted or depot rebuilt/repainted tanks. Once the vehicle hits the paint booth at the installation or divisional level, the only markings normally reapplied are the bumper numbers.

Howdy all. Jeff, Marines is spelled with a capital "M" if you are speaking of a US Marine. You Cav pukes should know that. The "No Step" on the drivers hatch started life as a GD "thang". It is usually applied next to a boot print on the drivers hatch. Thrashergklm a.k.a. Cam, extra "No Step" stencils can be had by getting a hold of Echelon Fine Decals USMC OIF decal sheets. There is a review of the sheets on the Perth Miliatry Modeling Society website. Are you going to " The Gathering" ? Out here.

I'm pretty sure I've got some of those decals in the stash. You can have them if you want 'em. PM me and I'll let you know in the next day or so.

Mike,
There's no need to go to PMMS for reviews - I reviewed all Echelon M1A1 decal sets and reviews are here on Armorama.

The full list of the Echelon reviews can be seen: https://armorama.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showmaker&makerid=123
Sometimes, 20 seconds looking through the list of featured manufacturers in the review section can really pay dividends....Jim

Is this really necessary? Why is it that every time someone mentions a review on another site, especially PMMS it seems, the thought police comes out berating the person.
Surely just to say there are also reviews on Armorama would be sufficient instead of this overt campaign to discourage people visiting and mentioning other sites.
There is room on the Internet for all sites, we are all one big modelling fraternity and alternate views on products should be welcomed to give people a broader overview of the product, or so I thought?
Cheers

Terry,
I'm afraid you overreacted a little bit here. You should know best that I use your website very often and often link to your articles myself, both in my reviews and in forum posts. All I wanted to say in this case is that we have Echelon reviews "in house", so it is not necessary to go to any other site to find information about them. I didn't mean it in general, but only in this specific case (i.e. when we also have reviews). In any other case linking to your articles is perfectly fine and even encouraged - as I already wrote I do it myself very often. I just found it a bit odd to send someone from Armorama forum to any external resource, while information can also be found here. It was not against your site in any way. I apologize if I used wrong words that made my intentions unclear, but I really only meant exactly what you wrote that "we also have reviews here".
The same happens with news when people write "big news" post in our forums about some information they found on the Web without even checking our own Armorama's news section first, where the information was already present before... We just try to educate people that Armorama is much much more then just a forum board, as some visitors seem to think
