Don't forget to look for Arnaud Brejon's SkyBow Tiger as well. It can also be found on the What's new section of track48 or in the Gallery. What is so impressive about this kit is the level of detail of the tools. Look again at the close up picture of the hull tool stowage of Portela's Tiger and note that this is an OUT OF THE BOX build. Those of us who are 1/48 scale fans are eagerly awaitng SkyBow's Firefly, Panther and Jagdpanther.

Thanks for the link. There are a lot of great models there. The Bandai stuff really brings back memories.

Well then, Chuck, you will be in for a treat to learn that Bandai is re-issuing some of their models. Their Flak 88mm will be on display at the Tokyo Toy show on Sept. 23. Also, they are planning to re-issue their 8 wheeled armoured car, the 8-ton tractor for the 88 and a few others at first, followed by others if sales go well.

You are absolutely right about the quality of these kits, and also correct about our waiting... and waiting. I didn't think those Tigers would ever get released, but as anyone who has one will tell you; they were worth the wait.
