Gidday lads.
Here is my finished cheiftain. Hope you all like it. Nothing special here just out of the box. Very enjoyable build from an old kit.
Cheers and good luck.

Nice.. the camo on the tank looks good. You might want to dust it a little.. Great job on the figures too!

Hi Dan,
Nice job!
Built this kit some time back and it was an enjoyable build. Always liked the look of post WWII British armor. I think it was the best looking around.
Again good job. I'd go

Looks very nice.
I thought first.. How did you make the camouflage thing on the barrel but it is now a stupid question if you know what I mean :-)
But I would dust it a bit

I can't wait to get my hands on that Tamyia British Challenger Desertized with all those skirts and such. I think that the tank looks great. I used to be in lovew with the Merkava, that is until Al Lafleche showed me how many holes you have to drill to hang those dingo-balls on the back of the turret. With my depth perception I'd prolly put the drill through my finger. I only see out of one eye at a time so seeing 3d takes a lot of concentration and strain on the old eye balls. Ya, it makes modeling hard.

EasyOff,
I think the Challenger I desertized is about the best looking piece of armor I've seen.
Now the Challenger II is something entirely different. Think I've seen one picture and my first thought was, "boy, is that ever ugly".
Has nothing to do with the capabilities of the tank, but it sure isn't as sharp looking as the Challenger I.

I absolutely hear ya. I love the Challenger 1 also, I just this second looked on my shelf to see if I had a Challenger 1 there and to my surprize I have BOTH the one and two hahaha. My gosh, I don't even remember what I buy anymore.

I've always thought this was the best looking tank of all times. I got to crawl around inside one once during a reforger back in 78. Also like the looks of the Leopard 1. After I get done with more of my German WW2 and m60 series builds, I'm looking at doing a modern international collection, so I'll be working on this kit in about 5 years. (so many models---so little time)

In my opinion its the best looking of all modern MBT's. (I know its not so modern anymore.)
Nice model!

EasyOff,
blaster76/Rockfall,
No doubt, it's one fine looking piece of machinery. Believe I'd still vote for the Challenger I.

Is it really possible for that to happen? :-) My gosh, I don't even remember what I buy anymore.

HI
Nice to see that even an old Tamiya kit can be built up nicely.
Good job.

Thanks all for the comments. I tried to make this kit look a a little less worn with minor dust and dirt. I agree with more dust but I like the clean lines and cam colours.
Im not a purist as such with extra detail(one day i'll try) but I love the visual effect and the enjoyment of the final product.
Thanks again for the comments and many more pics to come.
Cheers and good luck

Hi Dan,
In the end, isn't this what it's all about?
Good job and attitude.
