In OIF did most of the M1A1HC's have the last skrit removed, and if I do, would I add anything to the skrit, and would I also thin down the, I think their mud gards in the back by the gril? Would i thin them down as well?

Howdy Cam. Some did and some did not. Some were removed on purpose before LD. Some were mangled from debris getting wrapped up in the track and sprocket and then removed. If the number 7 skirt is missing then usually the mud guard that it pins to at the rear of the hull is also missing. Number 1 and 2 shirt on the left side are ballistic(thick). Number 1-4 skirts on the right side are ballistic(thick). The rest are just good ol' plate steel (thin, 1/4"?). The hinge for the number 7 skirt usually remains attached to number 6 skirt in most cases. Out here.
