Are there any other 1/35 AM tracks available for the DML MLRS aside from the hideously expensive Friuls?

Thanks!

Depends on the time period you want to place your model in. Currenlty most (probably 99% or more) of US Army MLRS vehicles use newer tracks with rectangular rubber shoes. Such tracks are available only from Friulmodel and from Blast Models (as part of their resin suspension update sets for Bradley and AAVP7). Decent one piece vinyl tracks of this kind can also be found in Tamiya M2A2ODS kit, but these would probably be too short for MLRS.

If you however want to build your model as e.g. Operation Desert Storm vehicle, then you need older tracks with chevron shaped rubber shoes. Here you have more choice of aftermarket tracks, as this kind was offered by ModelKasten (plastic indi links, not cheap, but usually cheaper than Friuls), Academy (also plastic, cheap, but hard to find) and Friul.

I think the Tamiya vinyl tracks will be short 5 or so links so no go there.

With cost a big issue, are the link and length tracks that come with the kit reasonably accurate enough to use for a Desert Storm MLRS?

Yes, they are reasonably accurate, but require a lot of cleanup.
