Some of the other websites are running a story (from a Chinese site) about the NEXT release from DML being a Bison 1. It's pretty well done mock-up of the DML posters but doesn't quite ring true. So before the story starts here, it's pretty positive that it is in fact a hoax...Jim

I don't know if this matters, Jim, but the ad says it's a special release for the "kaijo" only. "Kaijo" means "place of meeting," so I'm guessing it's a special release put together for the big hobby show in Tokyo this weekend. Kind of like the M4A3E8 they cobbled together for IPMS Atlanta.
Therefore, it MAY NOT be a hoax.

It also says it's "being developed in earnest, so please expect the best."

It's in Japanese, by the way. Not Chinese.

Ola Guys

Well Hoax or not this is one particular subject I love to see being brought out in the standard of the latest DML releases. Being a huge Early war Tank lover and then especially the panzer 1 and it`s variants I now have to buy and update the Alan Bison 1...... Oh the dream of a Bison being brought out by DML

Robert, I couldn't agree more with you - I would imagine the Bison will be on a future release list as will the Ausf. A and the Marder III.

I just question the mentality of anybody who takes the time to actually put together a false poster like that,,

I also tend to question the sense of the Sd Kfz 7 debate on another site - not exactly a manner to build up credibility IMHO...Jim

You gotta admitt, that's one ugly tank. What's the cammo pattern on something like that? Paint it to make it look like a bakery from the front view?

"You can have any color that you want, as long as its black". :-)

Technically and Historically speaking we are not even talking about a tank here but a so called SIG... (Sturm Infanterie Geschutz) and it is actually the ancestor of the STUG guns
Basically it is the SIG33 gun mounted on the Chassis of the Panzer1 B.
Being it Early war it was only painted in Panzer grey. It`s a fun looking vehicle me thinks and definately one that I want to have in my collection.
