Hi all
I did this a while ago and what with moving and all that stuff have not got around to putting the water in ..this weekend one hopes.
You will notice a white line on the dio i want to cut that part off to bring it together what do you guys think ,it wont be to much of an undertaking, any feed back would be great,
The figure is 120m from S&T models which you can see on Colorado Minitures, i changed him a bit made a fur cape etc.
Cheers Chris

I can't argue with cutting it off. The 'right' side doesn't really add to the diorama. It's well done, but I see why you would want to narrow the focus. The prime subject is the figure, not the creek. cutting it down will emphasise that even if he's not in the center.
I will also say - be carefull cutting I'd hate to see the work lost......

I'd try andtake off as much stuff as possible, tighten or pack down or wrap in tape whatever remains and use a very fine toothed blade on a tablesaw.

Chris...First off...that is an awesome little scene you are building there.
I do agree with you decision to cut it down a bit..although very beautiful...When looking at it from the overview..the one side in question seems a little to much, considering that the figure is your main point of intrest. I think making it smaller..will only add to the impact of the whole scene "tightening" it up a bit more.
Be careful with that cut though...

Chris, thats too beautiful, and too much work to write off. Not to mention possibly ballsing it up.
How about adding a Crow or Blackfoot warrior on the other side of the stream showing the trapper furs, with furs and trade goods in the middle. That would surely balance things and take away the dice throw on possibly messing up a very well done piece.
Upwards and onwards never backwards.

Hmmmm...I see what you mean about the composition Chris. Although, I would be tempted to cut it along the line shown here. The base doesn't have to be square, and when mounted on a polished base, it might look even better for not being regular?
By the way, brilliant figure mate!
