Hi all
I feel it very important to post this thread about the wonderful gesture that was done by one of the members of this site.
For a number of months i have been in phone contact with Cheyanne general chit chat modling world events history you name it we talk about it.
I very much look forward to our chats, broken up with gulps of red wine while chating and talking about projects Glen said that he would send me one of his fantastic hand made buildings for a project i was thinking about, i was gobbed smacked.
Well today it arrived in two bloody great boxes also enclosed were two sets of figures,i am speech less which is hard for me as my wife could tell you.
I have been sat looking at it for most of the evening and started to do some work with regard the additional stone work finish as instructed by the master mines the little bit of work in white Cheyannes work is in the gray lol lol.
Thought i would post you some pics of this wonderful piece of work.
I know i have spoken to you on the phone tonight but again thank you very much, and there will be a nice something coming your way, but i will have to come to NJ as its far to heavy, and its a bloody good excuss for a beer.
Well here are the pics. again thanks mate Cheers Chris

Chris -
Something like, "You lucky dog!!!" comes to mind. What a fantastic centerpiece for a diorama. The attention to detail, quality, and workmanship are phenominal. "Cheyenne's" generosity is exceeded only by his obvious talent. It's this kind of sharing and experience that makes Armorama the incredible place it is. I salute this gesture and anxiously await updates on a project that I'm sure will be very special. Enjoy yourself.

Chris your too kind, I seem to be doing more building and less finishing.
To be honest, I love creating this stuff, it keeps me busy [ even with the limited time I have, come on retirement ].
I know you will do justice to the build, so why not, I feel kinda cool knowing it will be put to good use and be part of someones efforts.
It's also cool seeing my work in someone elses build !!!
Chris for you buddy. anytime.
I've been fishing since 5a.m. this morning, now watching football [ yes and imbibing in imbibables ], but if anyone else out there wants something built, just let me know [ as long as i'ts not a 1/35, St. Pat's Cathedral ].
Like I said I love building stuff, so just let me know !

Wow what a great gift, and a generous one at that. Something that has taken so much time and effort to do shows you how generous he really is! If i made that masterpiece i would have it on lockdown haha.
Just wanted to add something while talking about generosity, Mike Durr (Blade48mrd) is another example of a very generous person. I posted a topic on where i could find a jumping figure (out of a halftrack) for one of my dioramas. Little did i know that Mike would PM me and say....hey i have 3 verlinden figures of this pose....do you want one? So if i didnt thank you already Mike, thank you. He sure was fun to paint!

Dear Santa, I mean Cheyenne,
This year for X-mas, I would like a WW II era bridge and house, with a scatch built barge floating below. I would also like to go out on a deep sea fishing trip, I"ll bring the refreshments.
Seriously, that was one hell of a gift you gave Chris. I'm sure he will put it to good use.
