Hey guys!
This is my latest model.Academy Tiger I Early.I painted it in a winter scheme and as this is going to a incoming dio, it is full of mud.Weathering was done with oils and pastels. The mudd is celluclay mixed with fine sand ans some static grass. The PE is from Tamiya.
Hope you like it!

Very nice indeed, especially like the clogged snow in the tracks. What technique did you use for that?

Thks guys!
Graham-After I placed the celluclay, i just sprinkled baking soda on the tracks. Then, I ass some future, to give a "Wet" look.
Anthony-This was my first winter camo! This is how I made:
1-Painted dark grey
2-Give it a flat coat
3-Painted white(in a irregular way)
4-With the white still a lil wet, I got a cotton swab, dipped in thinner(almost dry) and made those effects.
5-Oil wash
6-Pastels and DONE!

Nice to see a winter Tiger from Brazil. I think you have managed to recreate the snow effect in a very convincing way. Snow is hell on tracked vehicles, especially when wet. It freeze during the night, and if the crew has not cleared the tracks the night before, the possibilities for a major break down is imminent.

hello - nice model + nice photos. Maybe a strange question but how did you take the pics?
My photos of kit always look out of focus and not very sharp or the model is too small in the photo.

Antonio,
Very good looking job.
One question. Why are the headlights set at an angle?

Hi Antonio,
Although its not your fault -- Academy really missed on the following, there are some missing parts....
a) restraining bar on top of the fiefel hose ( 1st pic of the 2nd set of pictures).
b) cables for the head lights.
c) I think the cable on the left hull side is for the mid-production Tiger....
d) Tactical number...other markings(?)
Now, regarding your build, it looks fantastic. I also like the mud effect. Hope to see your dio for this tank.
Cheers

Hi Antonio,
I also built that Academy kit and I also used the cable at the side of the hull...only to find out that its for a mid-production...
BTW, here are some pics of the restraining bar to hold the feifel hose...its just spare sprue with wire....
Cheers

Sorry, Antonio, but I prefer the earlier colour of the mud. Looked very realistic. The darker colour IMHO makes the tank look like it's burnt.
But congratulations on a excellent looking cat!

Hey nice job.
Weathering is very cool, and I like the battle damage.
regarding the snow, don't you think if it drive in the mud, the snow should be brown, mixed with mud, and not white. My 2 cents thoughts.
Best and bravo !
