As there seems to be a lot of (very understandable) confusion over the availability of the Tiger 1 (DAK) thru the 'normal' channels', I will (with luck) be able to clear it up (definitively) in the next 24 hours. It'll be done in the form of a news story to reach the maximum amount of people. Meanwhile, be patient! ..Jim

Mine get's here Friday. Dragon USA, baby.
I got two. One for the HOF collection and one to kill time until Cavalier releases some Tiger Late zimm. Ya' see, I have another Tiger prowling around the workbench and so many empty shelves reserved for Tigers.

The impression I got from Cyber Hobby is that this item is not available through the regular channels (ie. hobby stores), and is only available through Cyber Hobby and their partners. Dragon USA Online sent me a mailer yesterday regarding the availability of the DAK Tiger in their site.

As promised, the definitive answer from DML themslves:

Tiger Availability

Slightly here Jet, but the price which is being quoted by J.J. Fedorowicz, is actually DOUBLE the price quoted by DML. In my book, that is a TOTAL rip-off. Personally I wouldn't deal wit any retailer who is exploiting the situation like this....Jim

Just ordered mine from Cyber Hobby after taking a deep breath and using the MC for an overseas order for the 1st time. Price works out at about $80 Oz posted - just have to get to the MC bill before SWMBO opens it :-) .

I'll probably have to claim it is an early Christmas present

As much as I like supporting the Cdn shops, I ordered mine through Cyber-Hobby, and was quoted the equivalent of $83Cdn including shipping. J.J Fedorowicz is charging $115 before tax and shipping.

I'm sure a few folks will be willing to "think global, buy local" on this one, but sadly, not me.

Just pre-ordered mine from dragon usa for $44.95 plus $8 in shipping. I saw to late that any order over $50 USD was shipped free so I was already halfway on the new 88mm Flak 36. Doh!

I've just ordered two to take advantage of the free shipping option. Definately one to build but I might offer the other to someone else in UK for cost.

Hey there Vinnie - where'd you manage to find a store that would ship to the UK? I had a lot of fun with the Tiger Initial and this DAK kit is a must-have. I find it weird that they think it should only have "limited appeal" and therfore only one production run. Can't have too many Tigers!

Cheers!
