Hi everyone! I'm working on the kit and had a couple of questions.
Just curious about the tank having no side fenders. Was this tank in a first batch of E8's that didnt have the side fenders or were they removed by the unit?
It has the narrow A3 style front fenders instead of the wider E8 style. I was curious if it was issued that way, or should I be simulating weld spots on the hull sides where the side fender supports were cut off? If so, were the wider front fenders replaced with the narrower type at that time?
Also, the oval air intake covers on the rear deck should be removed on this tank as well as any other A3 kits? (also have the Battle of the Bulge kit)
Thanks,
Taylor...

Off the top of my head, I don't know about the narrow fenders issue.
But the oval "vents" are actually covers over the grouser stowage compartment -- that was no part of the M4A3. It is correct for the M4A2 but incorrect for the M4A3. This is one of the annoying features of the DML M4A3. They need to be removed and sanded over.
