Hi all,
I saw on some pics a kind of bar to which is screwed the engine cover when opened.
This bar appears to be on the right side of the driver hatch and looks like having some "joint" like a pantographe (don't know the word in English )
Has anyone a close pic of this bar and more specifically where it is hinged to the hull roof ?
TIA
olivier

Howdy Oliver. I know what you are talking about but do not know the answer to your question. I believe that a "scissors" hinge is the folding bar that holds the "plenum" open. That is what the "Tuna boat" crewman call the set up. I do not know if I have any shots of the set up but will look. Out here.

Thanks Pawel and Frenchy,
your pics are exactly what I was looking for.
I guessed Tamiya missed some details about the engine cover hinge. I now have the evidences.
It should not be too hard to represent the missing bar as well as the scissor hinge as Mike names it.

Howdy All. It would not break my heart, nor would I be offended if you saw fit to send me those pictures too.
There may be a "Tuna boat" model in my near future. Out here.

Just don't tell me it's supposed to be on ALL vehicles! I saw some photos of, thought about adding it on to mine, then forgot about it (until I saw this thread...) Suppose I could always add it on if I must! Still painting stowage and figures...
Cheers,
Jim

I wouldn't mind seeing the photos as well. Even better, if you could post them here for all to see what you are talking about.

Mike, Gino,
I guess you received pics from Olivier. I would rather not post these pics online, as I don't remember the source of them.
