Hi guys, I'm working on a diorama, with snow, now i want to make my own pine trees... does someone know how to do that?! Is there any article on the net?!

I know Ti offered us to do a dio on the pine trees. Never seen it though. Maybe you should PM Ti.

I haven't seen him for a while over here... Maybe a PM will do ?!

I use Woodland Scenics Pine Tree Trunks and then I use Hudson and Allen Pine Boughs
for the branches. The trees look pretty good. All you need to do is drill holes in the tree trunk
and super glue the branches in and your done. Good luck.

I twist the frame of the tree from wire. Then cover the wire with Woodland Scenics Flex Paste. I then paint the trees. I then cut coca nut fiber up into tiny pieces and glue it over the limbs. After this is dry, I chop up sisal string (dyed green) into tiny pieces and glue it over the coca nut fiber. I have had good results with this method.

Sample Pine trees

These pine trees are self made ..

How ?

It is easy ..
Take some round wooden rods from approx 1cm wide and 30 cm long .
Drill with a Dremel holes into the rod so that the holes are drilled from top to bottom .
( Drill them in a eay so that they are not all in the same row )
Make some sort of point at the end ( TOP of tree )
Then go to buy some Asperagus ( The fine leaved species )
Cut the branches of the plant and glue them into the rod with white glue .
Before i forget , paint the rod first in a bark color !!!!
When yo placed al the Asperagus branches into the rod fixated them with spray glue to prevent that the banches will fall out.
Whan you have done this airbrush your banches with the needles in a dark green .
Let this al dry....
Then spray a thin layer of spray glue over your tree and sprinkle them with baby talkpowder.
And then you have a beautifull snow coverded pine tree...
