I'm having a real problem getting a Tamiya Matt/flat acrylic varnish for finishing my tanks. Could someone please tell me the number for Tamiya flat, clear acrylic. If they don't do it then what would be a good substitute?
If I can't find the answer here then I won't get it anywhere!

Murdo,
I've tried lots of flats recently and the best one I've found has to be Hannants Xtracrylix Flat varnish. Available from Hannants.co.uk

I'll give Hannants a go.
How do you lot normally get rid of the shine (after using Klear etc) on an almost finished model?

Spray with the flat varnish! Use quite a high pressure, around 30 psi, but with a very, very light coat, and it dulls down perfectly. I dilute the Xtracrylix about 30% water. I say a very light coat because when I've used heavier coats it tends to not be as flat for some reason?
