Officially the campaign will end at midnight. So if you have finished a model, please post it in the Capture Aidid gallery and let me know here that you have finished. If you have something on the bench and need a day go ahead and finish it up, but let me know. I won’t pass out the awards till Wednesday afternoon. Again let me know that you have finished here in this post so I’m able to add you to the finished list. Thank you for your participation with the campaign.
BTW: Today is the 12th anniversary of the infamous "Black Hawk Down" a U.S. raid on Somalia, in which19 soldiers and two Black Hawk helicopters were lost. Delta Snipers Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart were awarded the Medal of Honor for their efforts in saving the 2nd downed Black Hawk crew.

In fact at the time of this posting that had been out on the mission for about 6-7 hours (I believe it would be about 10:00 or 11:00pm), both Blackhawks had been shot down, Shughart and Gordon had already been killed, so too Jamie Smith (I think), and most of the Ranger/Delta elements would be consolidating and waiting for the convoy to arrive.
Joe, glad to see you finish leading this campaign. Congrats to all the participants who finished and to those who couldn't, a campaign ending doesn't mean you still can't try to finish, so knock yourself out.

Joe-
Thanks for doing this one!
I didn't make the finish line, but I will in time...
A salute and thank you to any of the Armorama family who were there...and to all the troops who were there.
