I took about 40 pictures of engines, trasmissions, FUPs, and some vehicles like the M977, M978, M985, M989 and a PLS. I'll upload them this evening and once Jim gets them into the gallery, I'll post a link to them here.

No, just modern US stuff. The students are tearing apart the Brad and M113 engines and will start on the M1 engine tomorrow. Deuce would be the oldest stuff I have, I don't even have an M151A2. I'm trying to get rid of my artillery, any takers?

Guys, I posted the pictures in the Gallery, go to Armor reference pictures then to the 1980-present era album, then to US forces and finally, to Rob's Motorpool. Many pictures there. I did like 10 shots of the M989 HEMAT trailer that someone requested from Holland, hopefully we can win some viewers.

There are a few shots of M977, M978 and M985 HEMTTs as well as a few shots of the PLS and its trailer. There is a shot of the front of the PLS next to an M977 to see the differences in the front grill.

I put some more shots of the M36A3's CTIS system for Jan.

Good shots of M113 engine and tranny as well as the FUP for both an M1 and a Brad.

Makes me think about getting back in active duty so i can play with ll the toys.
All we have in our Guard motor pool is support vehicles and I only get to see them once a month.

General question does any one have a colored photo of a Sherman engine? I want to find out the basic color of a factory fresh engine. I believe, for example, that the various flexible exhaust connectors are an orange color.

DJ, I believe I do in either my Sherman Walk Around or in my American Tanks of WW2 in Color. I'll check at home tonight, although they may be of vehicles that have been/are being restored.

Rob---I have the VLS engines and want to ensure they are close in color to the actual engines. You have me arranging a diorama mock-up based on our conversation yesterday regarding recovery vehicles. I hauled my other Sherman Recovery Vehicle out last night. I am wondering if they actually used the 81mm mortar mounted on the front slope.
