YUP! I kid you not, this is the russian idea of "close combat support." Holy Moley! This vehicle is officially listed as the TOS-1 Buratino (Pinnochio) "Flame Rocket Launcher". Basically, it is a short ranged MLRS that shoots 220mm rockets with either fuel air explosive or "napalm-like" payloads, similar to the hand-held "cross-system" that the russians employ: a "flamethrower" that, quit simply, shoots shells filled with a napalm mix.
Now I will let Sabot be the final judge on wether this really qualifies as a burn Baby Burn entry, but it sure was fun to build and it was nice to finally get this conversion done, so campaign mission accomplished on that end!
This kit is a DML T-72M2 and a SP Designs TOS-1 m1999 along with a fair amount of additional detailing. Please visit this link to see the official "report": TOS-1 SAAM Link
I will be completing my build notes on the link page as well, but here are the initial pictures:

Hi Jacques,
nice build and beautiful inspiring weathering.
To me the TOS definitely qualifies for BBB, I wouldn't like to be on the wrong side of the tubes unless I got a good sun screen

Jacques, thanks for posting this - exactly the sort of original work that we enjoy seeing from you!!!
Not exactly a 'low-profile' vehicle is it?
Looking forward to the feature, exactly the kind of 'weird' vehicle I like to see..Jim
