After alot of mulling over the whole thing and being convinced by Slodders advice - I rearranged the furniture again !!!
I added one foot to the base so now it is 4' x 4' [ gettin bigger again ].
I really want to keep the idea of an upper bridge with a rocky mossy stream flowing down to the main river.
Added the Verlinden damaged bridge to span the stream over to the dock area.
I will also be able to keep the front of the beerhall area for vechs. and bridge repair stuff.
It will mean raising the beerhall and upper bridge to accomidate the Verlinden bridge for an even ground level with the dock area.
Thanks everyone for the advice and comments and keep them coming nothings nailed down yet, everythings still changeable.

someone is obviously enjoying some form of alcoholic beverage while modelling. I was more focused on the drink in the first photo than anything else. :-)
Im guessing you are arranging this based on inspiration and not following any reference pictures?

Cheyenne, got to look at your layout yesterday. Didn't get to comment at the time. I was at work and I had a major accident with my work computer whilst looking at your impressive dio I managed to dump my beverage on the computer, needless to say I was not amused... Niether was my boss or my bosses boss....
Enough of my problems.
I am glad to see the angles have changed as it does add more visual stimulation. I think your improved layout is a winner. I have been waiting patiently to see more of this dio. Glad to see your progress. I admit, I would really like to see a sketch of the over all dio to see the relationship between the different elements?

That change made my first reaction of "WOW".
I like it a lot. You mentioned an AFV and the space behind the building is perfect for that.
You can also use the back side as a curved country road that heads up a small incline which supports the mountain stream too.
I like it a lot more now.
