Hi

This is my Italerai Panther OOTB. It was my first kit back after 27 years away from modelling completely. I enjoyed it and it was nice to achieve a level of modelling I could only read and dream about 27 years ago aged 14.

Look out for my other recent efforts the Sturmtiger and the Panzer IVD.

I post here for your consideration as its yet to be completed as regards a base and diorama.

This is my first time photographing models plus using a digital camera. Hey life is all about firsts LOL.

Please give me some feedback good bad & indifferent.

Regards

Fordboy

I like the way how you did the zimmerit. The weathering is subtle and realistic.

When you place it in a dio, be sure to blend the terrain with the underside of the vehicle.

A few things:

1) Paint the antenna black.

2) Run a dark wash on the tank. When dry, drybrush it with a lighter version of the tank's color. This is to emphasize the wonderful zimmerit.

3) If it is still possible, add transparent plastic on the periscope. You can glue this from the inside of the vehicle.

4) Lastly, a few decals will breathe life to this monster.

Keep up the good work.

For a kit done back 27 years ago, you really should give yourself a pat on the back. I honestly could do mine half as good as yours. Maybe its just me but over time, it seems like some natual weathering occured. The colour became somewhat pale which actually adds to the realism of the whole model.

I would once again weather the tracks if you intend to further enchance this model.

Agree with Angela on adding a couple of decals on it to give it some identity.

Great job once again.

Hi FordBoy,

Nice work! I'm a fan of subtle weathering and yours are really nice. Angela hit the spot on her advice. Keep up the great work.

One thing... Does the side panel suppose to be zimmerited? If anyone knows please shed some light on the topic.

Cheers,

WC

Hi Fordboy,

That's a really nice Panther you got there.

If you intend to place this cat in a diorama, i suppose you can try 'dirtying' up the tracks. Add some pastels/pigments or some earth coloured paint in. The tracks looks quite clean to me.

The other parts of the cat looks great, especially the 'dirtying' up on the top deck and the exhausts!

Hi Everyone

Thanks so much to you for taking the time to review my current project all your valuable feedback is truly appreciated.

I personally found it real hard to put up photos of my work when there are so many great modellers displaying their work on the site. However all your feedback and support has been great. Heck I didn't think anyone would even look at them.

I will incorporate all your comments into my weathering and finishing process once I sort out final base/dio for it.

I think I will build another one but fully detailed out etched out etc at some future date.

Thanks again and I will update you further with more photos real soon I promise.

Regards
