Can someone suggest the proper light pea green color source for the interior of US armor vehicles, 1960s - 1980s? I've heard that "British S-Sky" is close, but I am open to mixing the amount I need from base colors.

I don't haveany exact shade nubers. But I have used the the following tamiya colors to good effect.
XF-21 sky for base color
XF-71 cockpit green for shadows
XF-14 for highlights and dry brushing

Tanks of the period had a white interior... you need to check others, but they were either the color mentioned or white...

US tanks use a gloss white paint for the interior. This includes the M48, M60, M551, M1 series tanks as well as the M109 series of howitzers and recovery vehicles like the M-88, M578, etc.
Troop carrying armored vehicles use the sea foam green like the M113/M577, M2/3, LAV, drivers compartment on mortar carriers, interior of truck mounted shelters on both the 5 ton or HMMWV.

Jim,
Sabot said it all.
For the M113 and Bradley interiors, the Sky Type S is spot on. I know; I took one to drill and painted it on the fuel tank of a 113. It's a little lighter, but when incorporating the scale effect, it was perfect.

Jim,
Sabot and M60A3 are corect about the British Sky S color. I have used it since I ran out of the jar of the real color that I got prior to retiring from the military. The only thing I would add to thier info is that on the M106 and the M125 mortar carriers the gun compartments are are tthe same green as the exterior base green color or in the case on desert scheme vehicles the sand/tan color.
