I been following this build with interest Chris, I know ver very little about the American Civil war so I can't comment on the accuracy or anything like that. I really like your algae on the bridge supports. What did you use for the moss on the side of the bridge?

I really love this diorama, and like Andrew i'm following it since the beginning. Are there going to be some trees on the base to?

Chris, its really coming together fast!!! What are you using to do your ground work? Celluclay? This is really going to be a work of art when you get it finished. Its Excellent. Kevin

Looks like a good start.
Here are two great sites with pictures of the bridge for reference.
http://www.runet.edu/~shepburn/web/Civil%20War/antietnam/Civil%20war%20project/modern%20day%20sharpsburg.htm
http://civilwartraveler.bravepages.com/ANT/ANT8.htm
My only thoughts are
1. some dark umber wahes on the bridge to bring out your great looking stone work.
2. A thin coat of celluclay a on your groudn work dusted with dirt ( I gather dirt from the street gutter - a get a mixture of fine to coarse sand/dirt with small peebles and stones. Seem to be a perfect scale mix for 54MM-200mm) or Durham Water Putty dusted with dirt or sprinkle with dry Durhams to give your ground work a gritty look. Could be the picture, but it lloks awfully smooth.
I look forward to seeing more.... Great Job!
