They look pretty good. Only one comment, the optics and periscopes, especially on your Leo, need some work. They look medium grey. They should at the least be gloss black. Modern AFV optics are coated with an anti-laser film that reflects lasers so they don't go through and blind the crewmen. They look either red, purple, blue, or black depending on what angle the light is reflecting off of them. To replicate this, I first paint the optic black, then give it a thin coat of clear (Stoplight) red. Lastly, I give it a couple thick coats of clear gloss. The clear red reflects the light and it looks either red, purple, or black, etc, depending on the angle it is viewed from. Just like the real thing.

Thaks for your comment, its very helpful, i´ll correct that thing in the optics of my Leo
Another thing, the M163A1 depicts a Chilean Air Force vehicle, used for air defense of main air bases along with Unimog trucks carrying Elta Air Radars and Stormer israeli 4wd vehicles with Mistral SAMs. I´m planning to build the full AA unit in the future, just don´t know how i´m gonna get the stormer vehicle...........well, that´s all.

Well, hi stainless, you are right, the mirrors are from the spare box i did the camo by hand (i painted the models with handbrush, cause i don´t have a compressor yet, saving money for it). The weathering was made with an airbrush, using a power pack bottle. I tried to made the camo as close to the original showed in my references.

I don't know if you have discovered this yet, but I'm sure you have noticed that the power in the bottle drops off as the temperature drops. If you keep the bottle in a pot of room temperature water, the temperature doesn't lower as fast and power is maintained longer.

As for the weathering, I notice that the spattering extends all over the vehicle. It would be a bit more realistic if it was localize dmore around the wheels and running gear. THe Unimog truck has this done really well and the Leo 2 is an example of the spatters being too uniform.

BTW the alignment of the tank on the tanker truck is off, so a little more attention to alignment when assembling would pay dividends.

Keep up the good work.

Paul

In time they will. I like the APC you made mounted with a 6 barrel gatling? Which brand was that made from?

Alot of good advice has already been given by tankmodeler and Gino so i wont be repeating them. I made that mistake with my M1A2 and applying the weathering too uniformly.

Overall its a very nice collection you got there. Whats next on your workbench?

Hi Jeremy, thanx for reply . As you said, i´ll take the ideas for corrections in my models, in fact í alredy corrected the optics in my Leo.....the weathering, i´m working on it! Well, the M163A1 is from Italeri, complete model, so i didn´t have to scratch built it. As i said before, the model depicts one used by Chilean Air Force for air bases AA defense. I´m planning to built the complete AA unit, which is comprised by 1 or 2 M163A1, a M113 with mounted israeli Elta radar and Stormer mounted Mistral SAM. Currently i´m modifying a Revell Leopard 1A1A1 into a Leopard 1V, as used in Chilean Army. My wishlist is long, mainly Bundeswehr and Chilean Army an Marines vehicles.
During next month, i hope to end this models, i buy them for inmediate build, so i´m not going to start collecting boxes in my shelves :-) :
Leopard 2A4 (Chilean Army)
M109A2 RUAG (Chilean Army)
MARDER 1A3 (Bundeswehr)
M113A1 (Chilean Army)
MAN 6x6 7t (Bundeswehr)
That´s all folks!
cheers

Impressive work, considering the materials you work with

I do wonder, and our German friends can tell us more, if German armor personell wears red berets...

I have a suspicion they wear black berets ( red usually reserved for paratroopers ).

I guess your right, Richard (german guys may correct me). The fact is that i used a figure of a Chilean Tanker for the photo, that I borrowed from another kit (a Chilean M41). Our tankers wear the same combat uniform without camouflage (its olive drab, i guess that´s the color), and our Army is VERY german-styled. In fact, we´re using ex-dutch Leopard 1V and the official march of the Armored Cavalry (that´s the name of the tank branch in the Chilean Army) it´s Panzer Lied. Get your own conclusions....................
Regards.

I made an update of the photos posted originally (these are better to see datails), and added some models posted in the Campaign Gallery, I guess now you can comment more details about my models. Thanks to everyone who has posted before and in advance to all incoming critics :-) .
Best regards.
