The base is taking shape and slowly coming together. Any ideas feel free. Trees are waiting to be planted and the planks on the bridge are to show the ....bridge..nothing glued.

Hey John
Interesting base- I like it!
Also the passenger with the helmet removed is a nice touch as it catches the eye as something out of the ordinary
Trees with a bough or two that can lean out over the GP would also 'bind' the elements nicely...
Brad
PS those big clamps need to blended better :-)

John, what exactly is the premise for this diorama? Is the Jeep supposed to be trying to cross the bridge or are the passengers just looking for a way over to the other side?

Hi John. The jeep, figures and bridge look excellent. The trees look very bare though. The two that are there look good, especially the one with the yellow clamp, but the scene needs more of them. Its very usual to see these trees, but they grow in clumps along road sides.
Adding some height to the base, would also allow for a natural drop to the river bank. doesnt need to be much, but it would add to the effect.

Marty...just a small whimsical dio..The 3 GI's, are going...(fill in) Problem is, basic map reading 101 was not a strong point. They found a bridge crossing a ? (fill in) 2nd problem...Its a rope bridge.

hehehe it reminds me of that part in A Bridge Too Far when they get the boats.

They've been built up for a massive river assault.....and they get some canvas and plywood boats with 2 oars per boat.

The way they just stop suddenly and that one Airborne soldier says "What the !?", I can imagine that soldier driving the jeep saying the exact same thing.

Hey John
See what I get for being a smart arse... Said GP instead of 'jeep'... So meant for you having a tree canopy over the vehicle... Make sense now? :-)
