Ok guys,
I just received my shipment from squadron and was quite excited to get my Old German Village buildings from Verlinden. However, besides using wood stain on balsa, I have never painted any resin product to look like wood (aka the buildings) Has anyone ever built any of these buildings? Anyone have a good suggestion as to paint color to go with (I am limited to Tamiya colors, Mr. Color, and Hobby Color unless I want to wait a few weeks after ordering). Any good techniques as well? Any help would be great guys!
Thanks!

The simplest trick is (after a primer coat) to paint said piece the "stained" looking color you wish to represent. Then with a fine tipped brush, and with well thinned darker color based on your "stain" color, work the brush in fine uneven, wavy, and broken lines to represent the wood grain.
