Did the Afrika Corps use the StuG III? I have a Bandai 1/48 StuG III Ausf D I would like to add DAK markings The decal sheet has the DAK insignia but what other type of markings, besides the cross, would they have?
Also, what would be the best paint scheme? I know the DAK used some different shades of sand I have seen one that has an orange tint to it and one shade that is an earth brown

Ciao Chad,
Yes, they did, but there weren't many of them (no idea of the numbers.)
I have no idea of the paint schemes (sorry)

Hi Chad, The DAK StuG III D's were non-standard. The air intakes on the rear hull sides where different, there were also added jerry can racks, and spare wheels where moved to the side of the fighting compartment. There are only a couple of pics of them, and none that are real clear of the air intakes.
