Did I miss something or is there a huge hole in the bottom of the Tamiya Bradley turret? I am working on the the newer kit and have references from everyone (thanks Pawel) and am making an effort not to just "slam" it together. I already started scratching sections to go in the hole but I was wondering if maybe there was a mistake in the directions.
Thanks in advance,
Shaun

If it is the hole that is to the right of the main gun, that is where shell casings fall out as the main gun is fired.
If I am wrong, someone please correct me.

The hole under the right front portion of the turret is where the spent main gun and coax casing eject.

The ejection port for the main gun is on the upper right (TC's side) of the main gun which is totally missing in the Tamyia kit BTW.
The COAX ejection port is inside of the space in the lower right corner of the turret.

I will see if I can take a picture. There is no bottom to the turret. You can hold it, look up and in and see whole turret interior, or lack there of. I don't know if I forgot a part or I am just being thick.
Thanks everyone.

Keenan,
I've looked at my ODS Bradley. If you mean behind parts F13 and E15 I've got the hole too. I think it's the way Tamiya have designed the turret.
Tom
EDIT: It's the big rectangular hole in part C6. In the kit instructions (step 12 turret viewed from bottom) It's visible 'above' the right hand smoke grenade launcher locating hole. The main armament swivel slot is just visible through it.

That's the one. Glad it isn't just me. I doubt it will be visible (much) when everything is together but I may stick some plastic in there anyway.

I actually found the hole came in handy during painting. Gives you a place to stick your finger while you're painting the turret.
If you're careful, you can also place the clear piece into position after painting via same hole. You may not want to fill it in.

I second Jeff's reply!!!! It is definately supposed to be there. It is the ejection port for the 7.62 Coax machine gun. I thought i had a picture here on my work computer, but I must of saved it on my home computer. And, my Bradley went to the parade field for a function this weekend.
If you look at the upper right hand coner, you can see a door, that is the access to the coax and when you open it up, you can look right out the hole you guys are talking about.
Here is the ejection port for the 25mm Main Gun

Is this rotated or something for maintenance? I have always seen the shell ejection port on the right side, turned about 90 degrees from where the pic looks like. Looks like this one is on the top, at 12 o'clock position.

??Ugh, no Sir??
It's where it always is supposed to be. Now, this is an A0+ vehicle, but it's the same on an A2, just picture the armor on top of the manlet and the ejection port cover over that.
Uh, curious at what you where looking at sir?????

Gino, its in the right spot. I think the camera is tilted just a little. This is one thing that drives me nuts at competitions. Guys go hog wild detailing everything and neglect to drill the hole for the spent cases. As to the Plenum chamber, or as we know it here, "That big ole' hole", :-) I always block mine off where the doors should go to prevent the pen-light nazi's from gigging me since they are the experts you know Good ref pics BTW Pete. "Q"
ps. If you look at the vehicle head on, the ejection port is roughly at the 11 O'clock position on the mantlet.

Guess I have just been looking at it from the wrong angle or something. Thanks.
