I am planning to build the recovery version of the T-34. Which version T-34 would be most liekly to have been used for the VT-34? 1941,1943, or plant, etc and which manufacturer do you suggest?

I have seen T-34's with different wheels at the same time, was there a reason to have steel and rubber rimmed roadwheels? Were they the same diameter. How about AM tracks, any with ice cleats or anything for more traction? Any suggestions for PE, since I will not be using the turret for the conversion.

Ola Jim

I really can`t help you with the base kit to use for the correct chassis as my knowledge is not sufficient for that.
Bur I have something else that might be of use to you. and that is a Walkaround of a T34 recovery vehicle in the Wings Of Liberation museum in Best near Eindhoven.
You can find the walkaround here.
T34 Recovery walkaround

I hope it is of some use for you. Maybe you will even be able to determine which kit you have to use as basekit
