Just found this on the Tamiya site. They want pictures of your Tamiya 1/48 scale builds for their designers to look at. One lucky entrant will win a 1/48 scale Panther. Go to http://www.tamiya.com/english/pachi_digital/index_48.htm.
Share and enjoy and maybe you can inspire the Tamiya design team to greater excellence.

It's about time someone took a picture of their schwimmwagen. The Kubels, schwimmwagens and kettenkrads are being ignored in favour of the Tigers, Shermans and StuGs. Even the Hetzer and unexpected Citroen aren't as prominent as they should be. If you wish you could also send along pics of your schwimmwagen to Track48 for their gallery. You can find it at

I translated the page using babel-fish and it looks like they don't believe my Hetzer is 1/48 scale.. what?
Sorry, but to get disqualified because my build turned out too good just would stink.

* Work name: Jagdpanzer 38 (t) Hetzer
* Use kit: The German Jagdpanzer ヘッツァー mid-term production type
< Writer comment > Putting out basically from the box, it assembled that way, but the handrail of the wire was added, the け is the pulling cable holder re-was processed. It painted with the acrylic color of タミヤ, タミヤカラー, administered ウェザリング with such as oil paints and pigment of the MiG corporation.
* From development staff: Material feeling is splendid. Truly 1/48? With it doubted.

Haha that's awesome! Your 48th Hetzer indeed was very well done.
I'm sure they received many entries try to pass 35th as 48th scale. Ya know, I guess they couldnt belive their 48 scale kit could be build this good!
Just reply the email with another picture of your Hetzer next to a cigarette box to show the sense of scale.
I also entered my Tamiya 48th scale Famo and it was so awesome they turn it down too!
