Well, I went and did it... yep... I busted down and ordered one of those TIGER 1 3 in 1 kits from DragonUSA-OnLine.....
Now I'm not bragging, just giving fair warning that in all likelihood, many really dumb questions will be coming from me, as 1. I really have never built a Tiger Tank before, and 2. the only references I have are what I can find on line, and the many other whom know more than I do, here at Armorama. So once again, forewarned is forearmed, as they say.
I really screwed up the order also, and ended up ordering two, so when they arrive, I'll have part of my Christmas shopping done, to boot.... :-) :-)

Welcome to the dark side. I must be one of those fence sitter types I build Allied, Axis and moderns. Even.... *gasp* aircraft.
Looking forward to hearing about your experiences with the Tiger. Mines staring at me on the shelf but I haven't started building it yet.

I wouldn't be too hasty to give that second tiger away grumps - when you have a look at the size of some of the PE parts you might be glad to have a spare set knocking around

Grumpy:
I also just got a 3-1 Tiger I intial. It stares at me in my stash. Too bad my new pup takes alot of time or I would also start it.
Which 3-1 kit did you buy?

Already started the Tiger Initial and am now in the weathering stages. Goes together like a dream. Very little filling, mostly using stretched sprue, minor adjustments on some parts and a bunch of details.
The kit sat on the shelf for 3 days before I dived in and it's been worth it.

Dave, Dave Da... I mean GIMLI! How could ya?!
We allies of the Allied cannot afford to lose one to the other side. What or who was it that blinded your judgement? Let me at em!
I will lose much sleep over this unfortunate event. For shame.

Good luck with the kit. I'm thinking of getting one too, but the wife is limiting the number of kits on the shelf in the basement at the moment.

You gonna be one busy man with 2 sets of 3 Tigers. At least if you screw up on one, you always have spare parts.

Private Parts, did ya hear that? He ordered two!!!
You know, that comment you made about Dave at the Amps show, about him being the nicest guy in the whole wide world... How you'd take a bullet for him, how there are days when you just feel like reaching out and hugging him because he's always been so kind to you may pay off if you play your cards right. He's already talking about SOME lucky persons xmas present
