Hi all,
I finished the DUKW, and have started again on the Opel Blitz.
I'm now scratchbuilding the interior, and thought I show you what I've got so far. I'm using plasticard and fusewire, and odds and sods from the spares box. I'm thinking of adding working lights, but that will depend on me being able to find some suitable lights at the dollshouse shop.
The sinkholes which are still visible will be taken care of as I go along, and I'm still working on the final lay-out of the left hand side. I will also add some detail to the engine bay.
Cheers
Henk

Looking good Henk. I have this project waiting in line.
I bought the Verlinden detail set (#1571). There isn't much to it. The instructions say "We have given you some parts to work with, but we have little idea what it should look like when you're done." :-)
I'll be watching your progress. You know, stealing your ideas. I haven't found any refs so far, but if I do, I'll let you know.

Thanks guys, I'm really enjoying this scratch building project. The fact that 'almost anything goes' makes it a lot less frustrating as I can just built what I'm comfortable with. As always, tools maketh the man, I recently bought a proper self-healing cutting mat and a steel ruler, and surprise surprise, I'm now at last getting some decent results.. .
Thanks for those links Reb, I had two of them, but couldn't find them. That last link is a great help, and I'll be using that a lot.
I really like this Italeri kits, the Opel Blitz and the Mercedes L3000 that is, and next will be a mobile workshop, with everything but the kitchensink trown at it..well after I have done about a dozen other projects... :-) .
Cheers

I've got this model in the middle of my desk! So...that means it's 3rd in-line to be worked on!!
It gives me a GREAT place to put the new DML German Command Officers.
Thanks for all the great references and ideas!

A little bit of progress, I decided to change the layout a bit ( I'm like that ) and am happier now. I added a map storage rack, and covered the wheelwell on the righthannd side. This part still needs some doors adding.
On the left side I've moved the Radio table to the sidewall, added a bench to the headboard, and some shelfs. I'm going to add a storagebox/seat over the left wheelwell, and then fit out with various hooks, wiring and junction boxes.
Thanks for your interest and encouragement.
Cheers
