My Aunts Father was the Last Allied Pilot shot down in ww2. He flew a spitfire and happened to come into contact with the Meschersmitt Jet. I now own his house

We were on a Reforger exersize in the mid 70's in Germany. The light section of our tank platoon was "detached" to an Infantry company. This was our "death nell". The grunts have no mercy when it comes to Tankers, and vice versa. After we had exhausted our "on board" pogie bait and emergency C rations, we pleaded to the CO of the grunt company for a little chow, (preferrably hot) and some diesel fuel. We received neither.
We were very hungry after a few days and we happened to roll through an orchard, which was bursting with ripe sloe plums, ready for the picking.
After filling a couple of steel pots full, we feasted.
You can imagine the gastrointestinal nightmare at about 3:00 AM that next morning. The whole crew was conducting a repetitive "waste disposal" drill whilst hanging from the bustle rack.
The aggressor force ( the Brits) came upon us and for some reason, didn't bother to attack or capture us. They simply marked our perimiter with engineer tape and went around our ol' M60A2, thier officers gave us some disgusting looks, and the enlisted just laughed at us. You can imagine the comedy, when in full view of a British Colonel, my loader demonstrated the waste disposal drill!
Bloody Yanks!
