This is a few photos' of the progress of this build which is a follow on from the review of the Firestorm Australian Matilda Conversion kit. https://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/1084 Base kit is the Tamiya Matilda kit.

Now the kit contains everything that the Australian Army added to these vehicles whether early or late additions so you must first decide what period of WW2 you wish to build your model in. Once you havbe decided this then you need some references to show what mods were in place at that time.

My model is ready to have the last of the side armor by the tracks painted so I can fit the tracks and then add the exterior side panels. I have left the hatchs open as I intend getting the Firestorm set of 3 half figures to be the crew.

Any comments, questions etc gladly welcomed.

once again comments are welcomed.

cheers
Cliff

sorry but the build review is for a magazine article. Once the article has been published there I may modify it a bit for here as well.

John the above comment should explain it. I am only doing armour 'cause of the money! You know money to buy more softskin kits with LOL.

Could not agree more with our young Kiwi Jedi Master

Did the Aussies use an olive drab on their tracked stuff Cliff?

They used a Bronze green on their vehicles Steve. I have the formula for the Pre 1942 and the Post 1942 Aussie greens in Humbrol enamels.

Thanks for the comments
