Hi there
I've seen a kit at my local hobby store, and I would like to know if any of you has expereiences with it.
Its a kit from Zvesda, and its a 1/35 White Staff Car with canvas cover. It looks good alright on the box, but is it any good?
Hope you can help. Thanks in advance
Simon

It's a decent build. At one time it was packaged by Italeri and Aries (I think). No major fit problems. I did mine as a 1960's era Israeli and I remember a multi award winning winter camoed Russian version as well.

This kit is originally from the very early 70s and was originally produced by Peerless/Max. Italeri bought the moulds and htey ahve been floating around for 30+ years.
It is still the only M3A1 in styrene and, more importantly, it is pretty darned good. There is a lot of detail in the kit although it suffers from 30 year old moulding technology in that a lot of the parts are rather thick. Liek most Peerless kits, it also sufffers from a lot of sink holes in some of the thick section peices. That said, with some TLC, a bit of help from modern modelling skills (I think there is at least one PE st around) and some new accessories, it turns out to be a really nice model.
I have several.

also the White Staff Car is the lastest (i think) release of this kit by Zvezda. They also released it earlier as the M-3 Scout Car with russian markings without the canvas cover. Its basicly just a re-release of the pearless max / Italeri kit with new decals..
this is one of those kits that is good enough to just hang around forever......

I had started the Zevda kit with out the canvas cover and with the Russian markings and it seemed to be a very nice clean build. I had to stop because I lost the radiator piece and could am still trying to find a way to get a replacement. I would definitely recommend the kit.

I don't know about _no_ fear. It isn't perfect and it needs new accessories but the outline is good and the details are all there, so with a modicum of skill, you can get a really nice model from it.
Get some new weapons, new stowage and tools and clean up the skate rail & MG mounts and you're away to the races.

I have this kit and in the box it looks pretty good. I hope to do it in Canadian markings.

True, but you wouldn't know it by all the pissing and moaning sometimes. :-)
