i am looking into possibly doing a dio of the ww2 pacific theater, possibly tarawa of guadalcanal, but have found very little by way of kits or completed dios, so any pics of a dio would be great, as well as a place to find plastic japanese infantry

Josh,
Do a search of Armorama...I think there are a couple of Pacific Theater dios about. If not try the old Google routine.
Kits- that's an open ended question. US, Japanese? Armor? I think there are some Japanese figures out there, but can't give you the details.
Anyhow I'm pretty sure the "raw materials" are out there. Keep us all posted!

The following companies make or did make (think ebay) Japanese figures for WWII.
Airfix
Glencoe
DML
Verlinden
Warriors
Tamiya
Finemolds
There is a company I have never purchased from but the online pictures look interesting, the guy has a thing for Japanese WW II It is:

Diorama pictures are around just go look through photo galleries at the various modeling websites. Hope this helps.
