pointy thing on Tiger Turret?

Started working on the new Dak tiger turret,and i came across somthing that i have not seen before.had a quick scan of some books and looked on the net but i did not find this pointy thing at all.

picture of what it looks like on the instruction sheet is K7,it just sits behind the gun mantel.
whats its Purpose and whats it called.my guess its some kind of sight or somthing on them lines?



any ideas

My guess would be a sight for the commander - you find it on Pz IV and panther allso.

On those tanks it sits right in front of the cuppola no more than an inch from the visionport.

Maybe something for indirect fire...or indeed a periscope?
