I am building Italeri's M8 GreyHound and the instructions appear to indicate that the 37mm main weapon should be painted white (within the the turret interior). In other words the breach/receiver/ etc (not the gun tube) are white? Is this accurate?
I've searched for references to attempt to clarify but have come up empty. Any help on this is sincerely appreciated. Thanks.
Steve

Hi Steve,
It is my understanding that US combat zone open-top AFVs' turret interiors nwere OD. The white was down inside the hull where less conspicuous to elevated/aerial observation
