Last time I bought a pot of paint at my hobby shop, the manager was recommending me water paint rather than enamel...
"Easier to clean your brushes, no need to use white spirit..."
I did get one pot, and I have nothing bad to say about it, but I'm still happy to use all the enamel paints I have, and I actualy feel more confident with them.
Shall I slowly move to water? What do you have to say about this?
I'm painting with brushes today and will probably move to airbrush as soon as I find an interesting deal on ebay...

As I mentioned in another post. The other "solvent" based paints smell a lot stronger and can cause headaches, if not worse. With an air-brush this would be more pronounced and I try never to use enamels in the house. The major problem with water based acrylics seems to be they don't stick to the model as well as enamels.
So my answer is yes, move to acrylics. I've found vallejo to be excellent.

I've been using enamels almost exclusively and not found any problems (smell, headaches, etc) as long as I've had a window open.

I moved away from acrylics here in Queensland to enamels because I found that the acrylics dried far to fast in the heat here. This was causing the paint to dry before it hit the model from the AB.
I would still use your enamels but slowly change over to acrylics if you wish to as you use your other paint up. I still have jars of acrylic that I use for washes and filters along with two or three tubes of oil paint for washes.
cheers
