Hi people, I am part way through a Revelle Opel Maultier. The instructions show the triangle thingy ma hoot on the roof standing up. But I can remember reading somewhere that this only stood up if the vehicle was towing a trailer. Is my memory correct or has my altimers let me down again?

You're not mistaken Cliff. I've come across this in one of my references too.

that is the Wehrmacht triangle for medium and heavy trucks. it is in the up position when it is towing something(trailer or weapon).
it is painted white, with a red border and a black A inside
