This is the DML Pak 40 Late Type, I'm trying to make the kit a bit more accurate, although it's good out of the box. With this in mind I've replaced most of the boltheads on the lower front plate, and added a fair few more, replaced the light bracket and face, added a reflector, and replaced the tool clamps. All comments are most welcome.

Ciao Teacher,
Hey, looking really good so far! Isn't that a great kit? I built one recently and I really liked the way it came out.

Looking great Vinnie. Your additions all look really neat. Have you invested in a punch´n´die? Im sure they´ll come up a treat when painted. Have you roughed up the tyres some as well? Keep us posted!

Thanks Rob. Frank, I do have the Historex punch and die, both hex and round sets, but consider them to be a bit of a rip off. For this I'm using different diameter hex and round rod from Plasruct. Regarding the tyres, DML actually supply two sets in the kit,. one set fairly new looking and the other set damaged.

Ciao Vinnie,
This is the one that I built. I wrote an article about it, and I'm just waiting for it to be posted. I really enjoyed it, and chose the rough tires also. Are you going to paint yours in the camo line pattern or just one solid color? I am anxious to see your work!

Nice work Vinnie! You too Rob! I love the PAK, was my first real kit and I enjoyed it a lot although there were some areas it tested my patience. Like mating the shield to the support arms (Tamiya kit), I'm going to have to get that DML kit. It's a very nice center piece for a dio.

Vinnie

Very nice (as usual). Parts look crisp and the pe is cleanly applied. The bolts heads--so small, and yet so clean, (i.e. no glue splotches or miss alignments) -- nice!!

A question--How many "Vinnies" are there??? I swear you turn out a new (outstanding model, about 5 days) You have to have a clone or two floating around.

Ciao Vinnie,
Yeah, I wrote an article on building the PaK40 into a dio with the figures. I didn't want to post the photos, or at least too many, because they are part of the article being published on here. The editors are rather busy, so it is taking them a while to publish the whole article.

Hi Vinnie

Your work thus far looks very good. Very tidy and compliments a great OTTB model.

I hope you do an aticle on this one as I am an avid reader of all your articles.

I take on board you comments concerning the punch and die sets is the alternative yoa re using better in your opinion?

I have to agree with previous comments there are either two of you or alternatively you don't work LOL.

So far so good!
Your attention to detail is excellent.
I'm planning on building a Pak 40 into a diorama, and plan to go with the dragon kit due to the extra goodies it comes with. Am going to place mine in a bombed out house of surrounded German's battling for survival so was thinking about going with the 'Dargon gen 2 desperate defence - kursk pocket' set of figures to go with it, thought it would create the right mood.
What colour scheme are you going with? I'm thinking of a nice camouflage scheme for mine.
I'd be interested to see how the kit is coming along. keep us posted with some pictures if possible.

Keep up the good work!

P.S. Im new to armourama and was wondering how to get my own avatar picture? Seems like a few of you guys have managed it so let me know!

Cheers.
