I have heard some people use this to thin acrylics for ABing. Can somebody explain why ? what ratio?do you mix it in with water?

I understand that screenwash is mainly isopropyl alcohol, for antifreeze properties, plus some detergent and colouring. However it is easier to find than straight isopropyl alcohol and possibly cheaper, but essentially the same stuff. It is used because isopropyl alcohol acts as an effective thinner of acrylic paints and has a much quicker drying time than water. I presume the other ingredients generally do not have an adverse effect on the paint.

The small amount of soap in it helps it flow better, retards drying time a little so it doesn't clog/dry in your airbrush so fast, and helps it over come surface tension.
DO NOT use the kind with RainX in it......

I have just looked at the washer fluid I've got for the car. It also contains ethylen glycol. Would this cause problems if I was to use for thinning? Does other washer fluid only contain Alcohol?
